From Amman: Petra, Wadi Rum & Dead Sea 3-Day Trip
About This Experience
The three-day version buys you the thing the two-day loop cannot: a full, unhurried day inside Petra. You sleep in Wadi Musa the night before, which means you can be at the gate when it opens rather than arriving mid-afternoon after four hours in a van.
Day one is the run south with the sights strung along it - Mount Nebo, a stop in Madaba, the Dana Biosphere Reserve escarpment and Shobak Castle - before checking into a 3-star hotel in Wadi Musa. Day two is Petra from breakfast onwards, then on to a Bedouin camp in Wadi Rum. Day three is the jeep safari, the drive up through the Rift Valley to the Dead Sea, and back to Amman in the evening.
Transport is a private air-conditioned vehicle with an English-speaking driver throughout, and both nights are included. It is the itinerary to pick if this is your only trip to Jordan and you would rather not spend it watching the clock.

- Petra and Wadi Rum entry tickets are not included in the tour price. Petra is 50 JOD (about $70) for a one-day ticket if you are staying overnight in Jordan, and Wadi Rum's conservation-area fee is 5 JOD (about $10). Both are paid on site unless you add tickets at checkout.
- Rooms and tents are quoted for up to 3 and 4 people respectively; solo travellers pay a supplement for a single room or tent, subject to availability.
- Drones are not permitted at Petra or in Wadi Rum.
- The Dana and Shobak stops on day one are short viewpoint and photo stops, not full site visits.

Our trip was perfect, many thanks to our driver, guide and miracle worker, Murad. He took care of us, and we didn't have to think about anything. He was willing to help and answer any of our questions. Murad was very calm and reassuring, so we felt really safe with him. Also, he took amazing photos of us! The trip itself is perfect. I'm glad we went on a three-day trip. You have more time in Petra, and since you live just 5 minutes away from the entrance, you can start early, but those 7 hours we had still weren't enough. Jeeping in Wadi Rum was great, as well as a spa day at the Dead Sea in Holiday Inn, and a visit to Madaba city, Shobak castle and Mount Nebo (we were lucky to see Jerusalem). The only thing I found ridiculous was the classic tent in the camp in Wadi Rum. It looks so bad inside, I'm not sure there was a socket to charge the phone. So tiny and uncomfortable with a low ceiling, it felt like a marketing move to upgrade to a better option, which we did and it was good.

Excellent activity with times planned so that you don't feel rushed, you visit the main sights of Jordan in the best time, the transport is super comfortable, we were a family of 3 and we were in a car, finally, our guide Oday was wonderful, if I could choose him for any tour I would choose him, always attentive, respectful, answering our questions, with good recommendations and with a good attitude
